Roses. Light with prickly red fruit, a little va and firm but approachable tannins. A transparent, masculine style. This needs more time- primary fruit is beginning to fade and complexity only comes on day 5 when a beautiful floral quality emerges.

Apr 6th, 2022I’ve been so excited to taste this and wow oh wow is this one of the best 16’s so far. Insane. Deep, penetrating, layered nose of dark ripe cherries, unreal dried and fresh roses and so much more. The smells are so profound here. On pop and pour. Raspberry. So so fresh and so much fruit. But so pure and bursting out of the glass. This is so legit. 9.8 nose. This is rare air. Sick. Sick. Sick. Wow, what a palate. Just an amalgam of sweet fruit. The most vivid, detailed black cherries one can imagine. Just bursting with intensity and purity. Man is this clean and compact. Nose is getting herbal and tarry with air. Sick complexity. Silky, sweet, ripe and intense tannins that are delicate and super suave. This is a baby but has unlimited potential. Supernatural balance and freshness here. Wow.

Nose is a bit tomato. Hot? A bit ripe. Palate is ok. Balanced and very juicy with velvety tannins and a bit ripe.

Feb 4th, 2020One of our new Langhe producers and this is a freakshow. Wow. Nose has bright bright red cherries but they also are sappy and voluminous. Gorgeous roses and hit of licorice and even a slight hint and just a hint of anise. Wow. Leather, chestnut, old library books, tweed jacket. Just so much going on. What a palate. Juicy and complex with a wonderful core of deep, bright and sappy cherry fruit. So gorgeous. Amazing fruit cling on the palate and ample velvety but sturdy tannins. Obviously holding a lot back but really a great and very complete Barolo. Knockout finish with such a briliant hit of that bright cherry fruit. I think in 5 years this will be better it with a 4-6 hour decant. Amazing persistence.

Wow. Nose blows your socks off on open. Intense lilacs and roses. Cherry flower. As it open up you get this sensual cherry licorice. Lipstick. Oooooooooooh baby. 9.8 nose. Fucking heaven. Cocoa. Leather Hints of tobacco.
Palate is sweet cherry fruit. So elegant. Amazing freshness. Elite. Balance. Pyscho good. Razor sharp cherry licorice crazy freshness.
Magnificent. Utterly magnificent. Tastes so expensive.
Finish has this gorgeous kiss of licorice. Heaven. Just this perfect amalgem of flavors.
This is up there with the big boys this year.
