The Brothers Marlborough Pinot Noir
Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand

Underripe to ripe red fruit, cherry cola, black tea. Very quaffable. Medium body, light oak influence and very good length. Maybe a bit pricey but still delicious.

Apr 20th, 2019Bright red fruit and black tea on the nose. Beautiful mouthful of rose petals blue and red fruit and a bite of spice. Sharp finish that tells of Marlborough. More elegant and feminine than the entry level.

My favorite on the Marlborough tour. Lots of tropical notes. Delightful after a few minutes thawed from a chill.

Pale garnet. Nose of medium intensity with oak aromas of vanilla and nutmeg with spiced plums, and some sappiness. Palate of spiced plums and red berries. Fine tannins with a medium sappy finish. Good wine which could cellar short term.

Very light pepper bouquet. Clean and light on the palate. Spicy currant, mild tannin. Medium finish. Young tasting to me. Mineral flavor similar to a French varietal.

The nose on opening Strawberry Candy Floss. Beautiful crimson and clarity in glass. The Red berry is not sweet as nose would lead you to believe. Front flav Straw-Cranberry fading to Bing cherry and harmonious mouth acidity of cedar and pipe smoke. Not overly lengthy but satisfying throughout.

This is significantly better than the previous ratings suggest. Decent depth and not nearly as tart/acidic as many Pinots from Marlborough. The earthy/fruity balance is excellent. Good buy.

Feb 16th, 2019Clean and nice light rose petal and tea, current and strawberry. More earthy, very low acidic with a clean bright red fruit aftertaste
