Nice bottle of the usual suspects: tomato vine is most prominent, some wildflowers, freshly squeezed lime, and some green herby notes.

Cold grapefruit, freshly cut fennel, candied lemon, nice mineral drive with light salinity on the finish. Solid bottle for any day of the week.

One of the earliest viticultural inhabitants of Marlborough, the Giesen Brothers offer a fantastic portfolio - including a Pinot Noir from the pedigreed Clayvin Vineyard. When it comes to value in New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, however, it's hard to beat Giesen's entry-level. Tart, clean, and mineral - it tastes of sea water-splashed bell peppers, mixed with cold grapefruit slices and cilantro.

Lovely bouquet, quite dry. Nice accompaniment with 1) mussels, 2) arancini & 3) goats cheese stuffed mushroom.
