Again, this is the GV Collection not Central Otago. We'll see if they correct as requested. On the nose, darker color profile than their 2016. Blackberries, black cherries, dark cherries, black raspberries, touch of smokiness, baking spices and fresh red florals. On the palate, blackberries, blueberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, raspberries, good presence of medium intensity spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, leather, dark soils, crushed rocks, smoke, bramble, big chalkiness, mellow acidity and solid finish. May 10th, 2017Dark sour cherry. Not bad, but perhaps a little harsh, a little simple. Bitterness on the finish. Better on the second day.

Lovely strawberry character with that serious Gibbston valley savoury depth. Very good for a village wine. Balanced. Would def buy again.
