On the nose, black cherries, blueberries, cherries, black raspberries, strawberry preserves, smokiness, dark soils and dark fresh florals. On the palate, creamy; raspberries, blue fruits, blackberries, black cherries, cherries, strawberries, pomegranate, medium spices, good; clove, cinnamon, vanilla. Raspberry cola, nice chalkiness, crushed rocks, dark rich soils, red roses & red fresh florals, spices that lift in heat and intensity as it sits on the palate. The finish has good consistency with a round & lush body with and good acidity. Another great vista shot outside Queenstown, tasting room fireplace and exterior Cellar Door.

A #centralotago Pinot that survived the bumpy ride home in my luggage (not every one did...) Hence, I'm attached. Dark, bracing, spicy.

Normally one of my top 5 pinots, but tonight it feels forced and over-extracted. All the dark fruit and spice that we know but without the acid or freshness needed to lift this out of the sweet clawing soup. Still good but felt past its prime.

Such a contrast to 2016! 2014 was warmer and with 2 more years of bottle age, the wine is more fruit forward, more opulent and more balanced against the brooding, spicy character of Gibbston. Fabulous!

much more austere than the Glenlee, and the most tannic of all. full bodied. Spicy but backward. Med tannins. Great acid spine 92

A little disappointing. Sort of one dimensional. A little flat.
