Ruby with a bouquet of fruit, spices, leather, and chocolate. On the palate flavors of cherry and ripe strawberry with notes of pepper, mint and cacao. Long finish, nice balance with fine soft tannins ending with earthy sweet notes. Good now!

Oct 2nd, 2022Velvety and delicious. Prune, tar, dried roses, thyme & violet, cedar, vanilla, baking spice, cocoa powder. Wet-steel tannins, substantial acids but well rounded. This is why I love Piemonte wines. From Main Street Wine & Gourmet, Orleans, New Year’s Eve. 12/31/20

Jan 1st, 20212020/12/23-24 with grilled boar and polenta, grilled Hereford porterhouse, etc. Lovely indeed - it started with that slightly roasted spice box thing but quickly revealed layers of berries and flowers, tar in the background. On day 2 it was still delicious, though perhaps hinting at a shutdown towards the end of the night. At this point, feels much deeper and richer than the Cannubi.
