Langhe Freisa

Solid Freisa, classical yet approachable. A great #pinotlover replacement

Unmistakably Piedmont. Almost like a cross between Barbera and Nebbiolo. Bright strawberry and raspberry fruit on the nose and palate but with similar body and tannin structure to Nebbiolo. Great for the price.

Freisa is the shit because of its ability to be offensive upon immediate evaluation but with time and patience it will open up and seduce you somehow someway. While sharing similar nebbiolo characteristics it is opposite in approachability and not nearly as obvious in its appeal. Robert Parker once described it as producing totally repugnant wines and that all the more confirms my point of view. #saltyraspberries #friesa

Beautiful bright strawberry fruit great tannins for meat nice stuff!

All herbal and savoury, a lovely introduction to a new variety

Med ruby with pinkish edge. Med+ viscosity. Red berries cherry med. intensity. Med body tannins are a lovely med. soft with med acid med alcohol. Very nicely balanced Friesa

Strawberry, cherry, violet floral nose. Enters as all mid red fruits, dry semi sweet, with perfume violet florals and mid level tannins

A solid red, a bit of tanin, not too big.

At first I thought it was just okay but as it opened up it developed into something brooding. With charcoal dry tannins minerality and dried leaves.
