Rounded and quite plush on the nose. A little whiff of age… rounded and still quite fresh. Lacks the cut of the younger wines

The 2022 Monts Damnés is a wine whose qualities you might miss because its texture is so fine. It is calm, tender and elegant. It's not fruity but savory with a pure, clear, chalky style. A little tense at the moment, this wine could be approached but will benefit from another year in bottle - or many more. (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, August 2024)

Some serious power and amplitude here. Vibrantly fruited, supported by the deep chalky tones of this terroir. Oro blanco, candied pear, quince, some exotic tones like pineapple and mango. There’s an underlying grip and phenolic bite, thick skins, adding extra dimension. The cool herbs break late and more with aeration, aloe and chervil. Classic Boulay in its pleasure factor.

Starts out like typical Sancerre with fresh grapefruit and citrus but broadens to rich pineapple and tropical nuances. Candied grapefruit, a touch of ginger spice, hint of mango; all buttressed by strong minerals.. Full of acidity, body, and steely minerality. This has it all.

Gorgeous expression of SB, classic site expression with its vibrant array of ripe citrus fruits and densely packed mineral backbone. Just beautiful. Key lime, grapefruit, a slight tropical edge, lemon curd, crushed chalk, aloe, sweet herbs. Went way to quick need to track down another bottle!

One of my favorite producers but the 2018 is showing pretty ripe right now.

Solid as ever but 2014 was more to my liking. The bigger fruit here is not fully integrated.

Beautiful crisp Sauvignon blanc, vibrant, pineapple, citrus, celery leaf, a little steely on the finish, lip smacking

I definitely prefer the precision of the 2014 over the round fruit of the 2015.
