Smooth, great acid but no florals

Had past vintages with success. This one was hot on the nose and palate. Too much alcohol.

Low acid, nose of a new world Sauv Blanc.

Medium straw color.
Aromas of peach, floral.
Dry. Flavors of peach, orange blossom, citrus, grapefruit zest, honeysuckle, white pepper, with a touch of saline.

Green apple and pear on the nose, nice acidity, on the hot side though at 13.5% alc

Nice and balanced Viognier. Velvety, acidity and fruttato all there. Had it with home made tortiglioni with shrimps sautéed in olive oil, garlic, harissa and tomatoes. Had it cooled but let it rest to get to room temperature for correct tasting.

OK but I expect more of a floral context to a good Viognier
