Minervois Syrah Carignan

Fun wine for the price. Wild fruit, hint of toast, berry spice, earth, med bodied and somewhat soft tannin. Good food wine.

Avoid at all cost. Don't understand if this wants be dry or fruity or smokey or just bitter.

Big, a little earthy, with a nice dark fruit finish. Super easy to drink, goes down nice. I Could drink this all night.

First sip was quite good. But later on it tastes more watery. Dry.

2013 vintage, great value! Full bodied, full fruit but not fruity. Deep dark red wine, smooth on the palate and finish. Excellent balance, minimal tannins, more Syrah-Cab likened blend.

Full fruit flavor, leathery nose, light mouth feel

Beautiful color; like a big ruby hand waving you right in. Tastes like briny cherries in a hand rolled cigarette.

Nice fruit but not too much. Tannins appear later.

Getting ready for a trip to Carcassonne with nice Cassoulet and bottle of Minervois, the Gerard Bertrand was a good choice. Nice smokey nose, good black fruit up front and a pleasant finish.
