I can't decide if I like it. At first I'm hit with a nose mouth feel completely foreign. With our dinner an hour later, though it opened up and I found it to be enjoyable. Went well with our pulled pork and spicy slaw.

1 person found it helpfulJun 2nd, 2014Drinking beautifully now with a slight brick-red hue, this dense, savoury blend (Syrah, Carignan, Mourvèdre) features notes of fig, orange zest and tobacco leading onto dried herbs and meat. The finish is long and dry but leaves the palate with a refreshingly floral aftertaste. Inviting and well-balanced.
Update: on second day, and left open for 8 hours, the wine is at its best.

May 7th, 2016Nose of tobacco and deep dark berry fruit. Full bodied but not especially bold. Metallic in some way at first - more enjoyable over the duration of drinking the pour.
