Wanted to give it a shot because you really get to have a Malbec from France these days. This one was a little too heavily oats for my flavor, the aforementioned oaken vanilla flavor is coming through strongly and sort of obscuring what is otherwise a very strong grape. Did get the rich and spicy flavors of Malbec, along with a decent structure but the vanilla just needs to mellow out a bit on this one.

Nice Malbec,good color, nice aroma but should be aged. In my opinion it is not quite mature yet.

Oct 7th, 2018My first French Malbec. Very strong and robust berry flavors, followed by something almost mossy with strong woody notes. Incredibly rich, yet surprisingly smooth. Worth putting away in the cellar.
