Apr 4th, 2024Nose is terrific and airy with kirsch and cassis. Airy and stoney, feral and gamey with superb herbs de provence and very clean, so precise and juicy. Long and ripe tannins. Sappy and pure and very sapid. Long and toothsome.

Beautiful wine. Unreal nose of west earth, mineral, cassis, intense ripe fruit but huge mineral background. Just terrific. What a value this is. White pepper and herbs as well. Palate is elegant, juicy and has gorgeous ripe fruit and minerals galore. Still some structure to burn and finish is short as it needs air. But wow. It’s all there. I’ll be back as it breathes. Juicy and already fleshing out after 5 minutes. Terrific length. This gets so complete after an hour or so. Really energetic and sappy fruit. Great freshness.

This is terrific. Very detailed nose. Dark, pure blackberry, crystallized ginger, crushed stones, roasted green herbs. Ripe and expansive in the mouth, very long and persistent. Lots of mineral cling. Very old school. Superb value.

Nice wine, good value. Was a bit skeptical given the 15% but it wasn’t really noticeable. Did open 8 hours before drinking and gave it a slight chill. Pepper and wild herbs. Nice balance. Good pairing with a mustardy chicken dish.

If I have 10 cases of wine in my apartment I’ll drink all the value stuff first. When I have no value stuff I drink the baller stuff with no rhyme or reason. Maybe TMI here but hey, 4 people are reading this.
This is a smoking great value. Nose is cassis, herbs de Provence, licorice, and stones. Very deep nose. Smells like a gigondas or CDP. Palate is silky and ripe and holds its 15% admirably. Big tannins but ripe and sweet and just tremendous structure and admirable purity .
This has really come together after 6 hours. Elegant, crunch, balanced, pure and long. 9.2 to 9.3.

Spice and licorice as well. Palate is so fresh and elegant with unreal purity. So juicy and Stoney with a trickle of heat but as it airs it will integrate. Lovely texture and freshness. Long finish.

Heat & tannin blow off/soften after three hours to reveal a lovely core of structured sweet fruit with garrigue. Nice work.
