The first wine of the harvest Beaujolais Nouveau Gamay Rosé

This pink nouveau is, not surprisingly, alive with vibrant fruit aromas and flavors. The nose has herbs and strawberries in an earthier-than-Provence framework while the palate displays cherry, strawberry and a hint of the mayhaw jelly I enjoyed as a youngster in southeast Texas. No kidding. The acidity is gentle but tingly. The pink wine will be great the turkey or the ham, and especially with those Black Friday leftovers.

Terribly out of balance. Sharp acidity, strong tannin. No fruit. Drank in April 2019. Too late?

Although I get a bottle of BN every November, I’ve never had a rose from Georges Duboeuf before. Pretty dry with mixed berries and cherries. Haven’t tried the regular BN Villages yet this year but would definitely get the rise again.

Medium dry, enjoyed slightly chilled and left to breath after 20-30 minutes. Easy to drink

2018 vintage. Worked fine with Thanksgiving dinner. Not good next night.

Fruity, smooth and sweet. Not quite my thing.
