First Wine of the Harvest Beaujolais Nouveau Gamay

The color is purple with clearing at the rim suggesting it's a young wine. The nose is incredibly vibrant with tons of sweet blueberry, candied oranges, fresh strawberries and floral aromas. On the palate you get more of those strawberries with cherry, pomegranate and a touch of pepper. In the mouth it is incredibly juicy from the acid with a medium long finish that's spicy. It's like drinking a sour patch kid but without the sweetness, since this wine is relatively dry.

An improvement on this thanksgiving tradition. The 2021 was less earthy and more acidic than prior years. More fruit than usual but none particularly discernible.
