Beaujolais-Villages Gamay

Wine from my recent Celebrity Cruise. Great selections all week.

Surprisingly good for a 10 year 2011 Beaujolais. very smooth redcurrant tangy at beginning becomes plummy and almost too sweet at end. Am discovering Gamay as a grape very different frim pinot noir. Giod with xhicken tacos and 4 Mexican sauces including guacamole.

Finished a bottle along with seasonal salad and some pastry. Really enjoyed. I liked its driness.

yes, medium body, very smooth.

For $8, this is a fine vintage Beaujolais Villages. High acidity, and great for summer.

Decent cheap wine. Didn't really stand out. Had better for the same price
