Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The wine pours, a light gold color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe tropical and citrus fruit: pineapple, starfruit, passionfruit, and Meyer lemon along with crème fraîche, yellow flowers and stony minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium and creamy; buttery. A fairly textbook example of Chardonnay from RRV. Drink now through 2028.

Jun 8th, 2024Very nice Chard. Tasted better closer to room temp than it did in the mid-50's. This one had a mango, guava, blood orange nose to it. The entry of this wine was softer at first, but then had great minerality in the middle with some herbal influence and a nuttiness on the finish. The finish is where this one really didn't perform well until it was closer to room temp. Overall I am really quite pleased with this wine. Falls short when served cold, yet has a very nice personality with a little bit of chill to it. I think this one will integrate nicely over the next 1 or 2 years and think this one has at least 5 or 7 years before it develops some tertiary notes. Very nice tonight however!

Bought at winery. Tasted a little over acidic--bummer cuz it was a beauty. Perhaps should have had it sooner?

A 14-years old chard, golden hues, soft cider on the nose, subtle honey and apricot lingers on the palate. Amazing.

Probably one of the better Chards from Gary Farrell. Buttah factor = 6.5. This wine has lots of honeysuckle on the nose. Getting some butter, but not as much as the palate would indicate. This wine is big on the front. Glycerine and butter initially but goes to honey and melon and a little mango. There was a semi tart to the back. Wine finishes a bit short and much more crisp than the front. Overall a very enjoyable chard.
