Bright blackberry jam, a touch of earthiness, acid is still present and fresh. What it lacks in depth it makes up for in super up front fruit that keeps you coming back for another whiff or another sip. I bought this on my first trip to Napa/Sonoma three years ago.

Cherries and raspberries on the nose, with some earth, baking spice and a whisper of vanilla. Smooth and balanced in the mouth; acids giving welcome structure and nary a hint of the 14.1 abv. Cherry pie and vanilla and some spice -- a real treat.
