I have been really wanted to try this, after they were featured in A Decanter article.
The nose was like tinned fish and fresh tarragon, that erupted into a well rounded body of alpine berries, griddle fat, forest funk, and tiny little Tannins. Thanks. Les!

On the nose; black cherries, strawberries, black raspberries, cherries and raspberries, dark moist soils, bubble gum, gently minerals with red & pink roses.

On the palate; dry, sticky tannins, black cherries, strawberries, black raspberries, cherries and raspberries, dark moist soils, bubble gum, gently minerals with red & pink roses, beautiful acidy and well polished, elegant finish.

Photos of; an old gnarly vine of 100 plus years of age, the workers loaded the truck with grapes and The Truquilemu Vineyard.

Wet soil, potted plants, hemp, dried black cherries, cranberries and blackcurrants. Very rustic, Wonderfully light but still packs a quick punch. Medium body, decent acid. Light tannins are all that really linger.

Aromas to me that are Pinot like. More intense forward body but really short finish.

First wine grape planted in North America? You have my attention. Fascinating history of this varietal that I highly recommend reading up on if you’re lucky to have a friend like @Brendan Devine buy you the Wine Grapes tome. The wine itself is really tasty, desert-like in your mouth and has that full almost raisiny note that a lot of natural wines have. Give it a shot.
