Tasted this a year ago and tried again. Tucked atop a steep hill in the Langhe is the small village of Barbaresco, home of the GAJA winery. Pale lemon with an array of aromas of tropical, stone & citrus fruits with floral notes. On the palate rich pear & peach flavors with nutty herb and spicy notes. Long finish ending with fruit, herbs and generous mineral character. Nice! Aged well, will continue for another decade!

Very nice. Round, floral notes from the Viognier are tempered by a nice acidic minerality from the vermentino. Also, yes, those are toys behind the bottle. Sometime it's more about medication than glamor!! Kids'll do that to you.

60% Vermentino 40% Viognier. The first stainless steel, the latter wood. Honey and peach, ripe and floral. Elegant and pure, oak is unobtrusive. Texture is great for typical, acidic, thin Vermentinos. Very expensive #tuscany #vermentino #gajawines
