Fennel, pot pourri, dried red cherry and tea with a slight balsamic quality. A little Brett, but in a charming way. Definitely on the decline. I would love to have tasted this a decade or more ago. The 2001 is probably the best Italian wine I have ever tasted.

Jan 7th, 2015Cork broke in half during extraction, initially some cardboard aromas, but lovely fruit underneath, medium-long finish and great balance/depth, I’ll update as it sits open.
