Drank 1/2/18. Paired with lasagne.

Light to medium nose of red cherry and some earth. Sour cherry, tar, earth and medium plus tannins make up the flavor profile that is a touch thin, but enjoyable. Dry, medium finish with sour cherry and wood spice.

3/21/7/3/3 + 50 = 87 pts.

Let it breath! Decant for an hour to soften this up a bit, and let the clay pot & dark fruits peek through. Aromas of smoky meat, and cerise. A bit light, and acidic. Tastes a bit older and more alcoholic than it is at 3 years and only 12.5%. Roasted tomato and raspberry. Not perfect but a great deal at less than $8

For the price you can't beat it! I was pleasantly surprised how good it is. I will be making a trip back to trader joes for more once I'm done tasting the 5 others purchased to test

Very Italian style label. Lovely color. Ruby garnet. Smells clean. Cherries and pencil shavings. Flavor is decent if a bit thin. It’s a standard and passable Chianti.

Good wine. Probably should have let it breathe for an hour before drinking.

Crazy cheap developed into crazy good... for a $10 Trader Joe's mom purchase "too old for me to drink".... thanks mom So much smoked meat, herbaciousness, fruit subtle and in tune, acid tannin all in balance

Super thin mouthfeel, as noted by @Tree Kilpatrick But flavors are there. Red fruit, juicy, yummy, cheap... just a bit watery.
