Sep 10th, 2019It's time to get my #FridayCabernetfix . Here's a wonderful Napa Cabernet.
Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, black cherries, sweet spice, vanilla, cedar, leather, chocolates, tobacco, licorice, black pepper, mocha, coffee, tobacco and light earth.
Full-bodied, bold and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, black plums, cherries, cloves, cedar, vanilla, leather, spices, earth, chocolates, coffee, caramel and peppercorn.
Long finish with firm tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a nice surprise. A great Cabernet from a small Winery in Napa Valley. Very well structured with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel.
Fruit forward and well balanced, smooth and easy drinking.
Delicious right out of the bottle and after 2 hours in a decanter, the big tannins come in.
Would age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot. Aged in new French Oak barrels for 22 months.
14.6% alcohol by volume.
95 points.
$100.
