Aug 6th, 2017Vintage 2019 | a favorite producer of mine. 100% Cabernet franc, vines 25 a 40 years old. Bio wine. It is so much fun to taste the difference between Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil and for example Saumur Champigny. Pop and pour. Frivolous raspberry bouquet, gains expression with aeration. It’s not the power that catches the eye, but finesse and elegance. Medium weight. Lovely now, paired with ostrich stew and mixed vegetables from the oven. Happy.

Capa y densidad baja, color cereza, en nariz buena potencia, frambuesa, hierva, fondo mineral. En boca ágil, buen paso, final corto y con un amargor bastante pronunciado.

Mar 3rd, 2016Vin bio and a damned good one. True to type cabernet franc, very lively with clear raspberries in smell and taste. Good balance, not too stewy/big but elegant. Like this glass, it gives joy! Partnered it with duck breast. / 24h later it get's a velvety structure, great with some Leidse kaas

Just plain drinkable with a lot of red fruit, pretty CF aromatics and just a touch of funky-earthiness.

More lean than ripe, though it shows a bit of oxidative/raisin notes on the nose. Red fruits, quite mineral/tobacco/resiny. Higher acids and tart mouthfeel. Pairs well with smoked/grilled pork and navy bean stew.

A ripe vintage, but this one has the acid it needs. Dark fruit and great minerality, and biodynamic too!
