Pop and pour. About 7 years since my last btl and this has evolved in a beautiful warm blood orange. rose, soft tar, and loads of red fruit. On the palate: lovely acidity and balance, with intense blood orange and cherry confit. Softer tannin than expected on the backend give this a comforting finish. Yum. Drinks very well now, but no rush whatsoever either.

Aug 19th, 2023Beautiful candied fruit nose. Palate followed, with some tobacco, but not as long.

Aug 28th, 2017Took an hour or so to open up, but pretty good once it did. Beautifully clear Ruby red color, medium- viscosity. Nose sees oak, ripe cherries, some mustiness and earthiness. Palette sees cherry cough drops, cola, ripe cherries. A short finish was a little disappointing, but as some that isn't a huge Piedmont fan, I enjoyed this.
