Initially smelled cheese? After wine was in the glass for a while, cherries and floral notes came through. Went well with a spicy puttanesca pasta dish.

Sangiovese hit: a tart, fresh, herbaceous Chianti. Not too spicy but a little kick on the finish.

A good, stable and easy to enjoy Chianti: light on the tongue, pleasant on the nose and a nice easy finish. Good with a bold red sauce meal as this will stand on the background to help bring out even more of the flavour. Cheers!
