2011v. Very deep yellow/light orange color. On the nose, toasty oak, apricot, and orange marmalade. On the palette, the apricot hits your tongue and then the wine finishes a little dry. 100% viognier, which means it's a lighter bodied than a chard even though it has some of those oaked flavors. 13% ABV. I preferred this winemaker's "Le Grand Vallon" viognier, which had brighter tropical fruit and a longer finish (although more oak than some might prefer).

Celebration wine! Passed the level 1 Somm exam. Good dose of tropical fruit, low acidity, liking this viognier!

Francois Villard condrieu 2011. As usual, plenty of apricot nose, oily and thick texture, acidity and minerality in the long finish
