Reallly spicy, but not peppery, with delicious forward cranberries, and then a velvety mid-palate with an almost dry, not tannic, but definitely lingering. The nose is floral and string, but also the word purple comes to pond, and I almost want to use the description of violet for both the nose and the mid-palate/finish? Very different, but delicious! The color is also surprisingly translucent and pale for the bold flavor.
