This is any other grower’s Villages-level Mercurey. Dark, brooding, masculine and quite detailed. Real class and such a value!

A great Bourgogne and one that can age. Huge kiss of cherry, lipstick like intensity, spice, earth, nicely rustic. Exactly what I want. Palate has surprising depth for the price and appellation. Chewy, loads of fruit and lots of crunch and tang from all the mid season cherry fruit. Rustic and charming. Really appealing stuff.

Nice wine. Opened up after an hour. Light fruit. Soft mouthfeel. Decent finish. Not bad.

@Delectable Wine this is Chardonnay and not Pinot Noir. Anyway this wine is from the best comic sans estate ever. Nose has some richness, some mineral, some funk, palate is clean as a whistle with nice mineral depth and impeccable balance. Just tremendous wine.
