François Mikulski
Bourgogne Aligoté
Nose has lemon wedge, crushed flint, cold toast, warmed butter, undistinguished bruised green herbs and a bag of fresh lemons.
Palate has lemon juiced on sandstone, white grapefruit zest, lightly acid-creamy finish is quite interesting and fun, almost like a vinaigrette with great olive oil, fatty-acid mouthfeel combination.
I'll suggest this wine should be really nice in 2-4Y, 2024-26.
Cork pulled, slow oxidation for 3H.

Aligote is NOT an underdog - Mikulski pays his tribute so well in this vintage

Jun 17th, 2015Oaked aligote. Just when I thought it couldn't get better than ramonet. This is awesome. I've yet to taste roulot's or ponsot's, but at $22 it's hard tog imagine better QPR. Lemongrass, key lime pie, and burnt toast. Pure deliciousness at bargain burgundy prices.
