Solid, well balanced medium bodied haman. Violets and other herbs, some cranberry or mild red berries in there too, with some slate or gravel. Lingers a little bit lower alcohol doesn’t keep it around too long. Good value.

Green pepper notes, anise and lavender maybe too. Some tannins but not too strong. Not terribly fruitful. Ok but not my type.

Roannaise is in the Loire Valley but close to Beaujolais, so it tastes similar. Light-bodied (12.5% abv), acidic, carbonic Gamay. Bright red dried fruit, serve colder.
