Another delicious #rarecreature from the Forlorn Hope wine folks @Matthew Rorick This reminds me of a Cabernet Franc meets a Pinot Noir, purple floral and stone aromatics, with juicy fresh raspberry, cherry, a touch of savory and spice. #stlaurent

Always great to try a new variety. This bottle was decent, but quite green. Almost seems like it was picked underripe, for the sake of being underripe. Being a fan of lean wines this just didn't do it for me.

Interesting wine but a little heavy on the mulch-forest/floor-earth for me! Fun wine to try and also to pair with food, on its own it's a little awkward.

Typical #Carneros #StLaurent. Uh, what? Light and earthy.

Another rare creature, indeed. I have yet to find a Forlorn Hope Wine that I did not like. Matthew Rorick's St Laurent is just lovely! Savory Christmas spice wrapped in a mouth watering meat-like blanket with a warm juicy plum, black tea & cracked blk pepper back note. #justcantgetenough #certifiablydelish

Visions of savory east coast reds, with a Carneros twang. Delicious.

100% St. Laurent from Carneros. 11.45% alc. Fun and interesting, but pretty tart and vegetal.

Savory nose of green olive. Tart cherry style fruit and a bit of green herb.
