Feb 7th, 2019Pours a deep garnet, almost purple. Aroma is relatively intense, with brambly and crunchy red and black berry fruit, freshly zested orange, cannabis-like resin, and ripe soil. Palate is fruit- and acid-driven with a wallop of tart raspberries and blackberries. Finish sticks to the back of your throat like sugar. This actually reminds me of Foillard’s Cuvee 3.14, a recent favorite.

Mar 13th, 2018Popped and poured; consumed over three days. Dark garnet bordering purple color. Bright aromas of fresh tart brambles which take center stage on the palate as well along with some minerals on the finish. Extremely primary at this moment in time. No shortage of structure with acid and tannin in ample amounts. Very little evolution over three days. Drink now or hold.
