Didn’t have the rave reaction of some but confirms that it is hard to find a bad wine made in the Dolomites. As some have noted it takes time for some funk to blow off but it is worth the wait.

Not ready, but surprisingly engaging for such a primary wine. Try again in 5 or 10 years.

Nice style, elegant but also powerful and long lasting without being too thick or jammy. It went really nicely with pigeon

Dark, almost purple. Blackberry and earth on the nose. Blackberry on the palate. Acidity, minerals lend density and structure. Tannins are soft. Works better at a mountain hut in the Dolomites then in downtown Seattle.

1996 ripe ready and really dark. Simply stunning this wines comes from the Austrian border and should be sought out for its hedonistic style. Wow. Lamb please.
