Russian River Valley Petite Sirah

Dry petite sirah. Couldn't be more different from the jammy, earth shattering fruit of the sourced lot petite sirah. More nuanced, more calculated, more rewarding.

Blueberry, blackberries, white pepper, big but not too jammy. Shines with a steak, and good enough on its own.

Pure blackberry and blueberry but in a refined way. Not a bomb. The nose has something at the end that was quite nice. A dirtiness or tree bark? Some even tannin throughout though honestly I think I would have rated much higher with just a bit more sharpness.

Spicey jolly rancher nose

Pomegranate blueberry, subtle flavor profile. A bit of heat at the back, yet a really well made PS. Long, finish with hints of anise.

Lots of sweet blueberries from the beginning to the end, with sweet tannins from the mid palate through the end. Not much length...
