Showing much better than the last bottle. Elegant, soft, and elusive. Dried cherries and strawberry, porcini, fennel, cigar, clay, roses, fresh tar, sandalwood. Tannins are incredibly fine but still showing some presence.

Elegant with notes of tea on the nose. Comparable to previous descriptions. Excellent upon opening but does do well with decanting. Perfect when paired with Parmesan cheese course, seared spicy calamari and baked lemon parsley wild cod.

Beautiful. Roses, tar and balsamic with leather and crackling acidity and velvety tannins. Really great for 18 years. Decanted 1 hour.

Mild nose opening up as dirt, hints of licorice, cherry. More fruit on the palate, thin and mild/delicate flavor profile but medium finish and all around enjoyable/well balanced old world, aged style

Very nice. Drank slowly over a couple hours and it opened up and softened during that time. Initial mouth coating tannins gave way to bright red fruit and earthiness.
