The Bin No. 27 was created over a century ago for family consumption, and only released commercially in 1972. Sits in large wood cats for 4 years. Rich texture, ripe fruit flavors of blackberry and cherry. Smooth with good balance on lingering finish ending with a sweet fruit character and some spicy notes. Consistent quality y/o/y. Stewed dark fruit on the nose continue through to the palate. Sweet finish. Lacking the wow factor for me. Drink now or cellar for another 10 years.

Fantastic port. Starts off sweet and then you start to taste some nice grippy tannins that cut through the sweetness and then real boozy, and a bit tannic and then back to sweet on the finish. Really nice balance and complexity.

Pretty good. Syrupy. Too many notes of licorice and raisin for me, honey as well.
