Sea View Ridge Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir

Wednesday Wine Committee. Great hosting by Gavin. 1 sparkler, 4 whites, 4 reds and 2 dessert wines. All served blind as usual.

Floral and pretty. Slight crunchiness/stemmy notes on the nose to suggest a possible use of whole cluster, but I don’t think it was much. Cranberry, violets, potpourri and sage round out the palate. I called this Sonoma pinot.

light ruby with amber rim; prominent tearing; cranberry, crushed flowers, herbs, leather, hints of damp earth; light bodied, cranberry, wild strawberry, good length; medium+ acid, light tannins, 13.5% ABV; made from 100% Pinot Noir sourced from Flowers estate vineyard on the extreme Sonoma Coast; a pretty wine although the fruit is a bit subdued; $75

Muy delicioso, con sabores a fresas muy maduras y un poco de cerezas vinagreadas! La acidez es exquisite!

Fleshy PN with a mouthwatering finish. 10% Whole cluster ferment.

Only ever had Flowers Chardonnay but this is pretty damn delicious.

Love this one. Forest floor. 2 miles from the ocean.

Gorgeous wine. We've had several bottles of the 2010 over the years... and 8 years in it is hitting it. Alas... bittersweet as its our last bottle.

This is what Pinot Noir should taste like. Beautiful color with intense floral and perfume aromatics. On the palate it's full of layers with spice, and earth, finished with bright fruit and a finish that goes on forever.
