Nice blackberry and chocolate flavors. Ripe but not overdone.

From the makers of #HourglassWinery, the #Fisticuffs #Cabernet was gorgeous--smooth, lush with black currants and cherries. Love the earthiness, spice, cassis and cedar notes. Great wine for a fraction of big brother.

Billed as an affordable Napa Cab (~$30), this is a joint venture between Jeff Smith (Hourglass) and Rob Lawson (Ghost Block, Mirror, Pavi, etc.), so I bit on the $8 closeout. Fully mature with dusty, dried black cherry and secondary earth with some very faint cocoa powder. An unremarkable undercard. I won't be buying more, even at this price. Score this round to the 2011 vintage.

Much better than I remember it with a bit more finesse and depth and nice fruit.

Much better the next day, but still a nice bottle especially for the price

Pretty floral notes but dense and concentrated, with a pure cab character

good nose and entry. finish is a bit overbearing. not bad, but a little too sweet for my taste, first bottle $30. disappointed in the initial bottle. will come back to this in a year or so.

Pretty good for the upper end every day. Got it for $30 on First Bottle. Would buy again.
