I believe this is my last bottle of one of the first vintages of Ricardo's foray into organic farming and natural winemaking using concrete eggs, native yeast and minimal additions. Shows a ruddy ruby color. Nose is all kirch-y cherries with a spirity edge. Perhaps with more bottle age (5+ or more) this might seem as classic mid century ripe vintages with exceptional life. Right now bordering on a bit hot/alcoholic. This is better than previous bottles I've drunk, so it is likely turning a corner and I should have waited for the other bottles; this is the education of a wine merchant/enthusiast.

A bit monolithic, not much fruit here on this bottle. It is an OG natty wine from RdD and deserved respect. I think this is entering a phase where we should ignore it and come back in 5+ years to see how it is coming on. It is not at all tired, just has lost its youthful fruit and not yet developed true tertiary complexity.
'Hit the showers, kid! And don't forget the deodorant.' We'll see you in a few years after you grow out of your adolescent funk.

This is one of the better bottles of this wine I've had. Color is still robust ruby/purple. Nose is intense w cherry fruit. Good w grilled beef kabobs.

Showing a better balance than previous bottles I've opened, but still firm and a bit drying. Not much complexity on the nose given its age. Still not sure this will age into something interesting.

By turns muddy and crisp. The fruit has been subsumed in this bottle and a vaguely clean composting vegetation aroma pervades the nose on opening. Gains a bit with air but brooding and dark in tone.

This a lovely Tempranillo from Ribera DRL Duero, well made solid and pleasant. Deep red color, aromas of barnyard, plums, red cherries, spices and a touch of smoked turkey, full body, dry tannins, acidity and a long dry finish. My score 88, drink to 2025

Dusty nose, dried cranberries and other tart fruits on the palate.

Still a youthful color. Also still a primary nose, not much development or complexity, even after a couple of hours in as decanter. Disappointing as a birthday bottle, but I have a handful more in the cellar that should improve.
