Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

I’ve never been the biggest fan of Montepulciano wines. This one was one of the better ones I’ve tried. It is heavy on the tannins and very acidic. It is well described as being fragrant though I would say the cherry notes are overshadowed by the smoke, acid and tannins. Not my cup of tea

Lovely. Over the course of the last hour I have gotten cigar, menthol, earth and delicious black fruit.
