I have opened the 2009 Fiddlehead Cellars Seven Twenty Eight Fiddlesticks Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir.

On the nose is cherry, raspberry, cranberry, vanilla, caramel, clove and a bit of minerality.

On the palate there is beautiful tart cherry, tart raspberry, cranberry, cola and a nice earthy component.

The wine is medium bodied On The lighter side with medium acidity and medium minus smooth tannins that leads to a medium expressive finish.

As we move back into the work week please be safe, happy and keep your head up. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷

This from half bottle. Great fruit ripeness from a cooler/wetter vintage. Smooth texture, restrained oak. More and more impressed with Fiddlehead after each wine I taste. This wine delivers amazing quality for half the price of Lollapalooza offering.

Great Pinot with solid depth and balance. Plenty of spiced black cherry and raspberry fruit. Cola, licorice, and subdued cedar create lots to appreciate. 2010 can probably age gracefully for another 5 years.

A bit too big for my palate. Seemed a bit over extracted. Ripe candied fruit, med bodied with some toast.

Right at its peak, great texture & still plenty of red fruits, the nose is showing the Sta Rita Hills persona. Just a little hot on the finish..
