Vigna Perricone del Core

Bright Ruby with aromas of red/black fruits, floral and sweet notes. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry, cherry, and currants with notes of licorice and sweet figs. Fine dusty tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit and toasty mineral character.

Rhone Syrah on the nose, pepper, game, potting soil, dried bay leaf, thyme, opens up to more violet and brambly fruits. Black pepper on steroids. Medium finish with drying tannins and medium plus acidity. Moderate body at 13.5%.

Solid but probably won't pick up a second bottle

Organic. Very dark color. Nose of blackberry, meat, tar. Thick and mouth filling. Crushed black fruits. Tar and spice. Significant density. Almost compressed black rocks. Well made with a few years of improvement ahead. $25 retail.

Sweet cough syrup. Awful.

There is a total lack of force and fakery in their wines, just a natural grandeur and integrity.
