The opulent '01 Feudi di San Gregorio Taurasi Riserva 'Piano di Montevergine' exhibits old world aromas of lead pencil, prunes, violets with lots of oak. Firm, velvety tannins with hints of earthy, cocoa and charred meat flavors proceed the lengthy and expressive finish.
