Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Solid on Day 1 with some VA that blew off and this was rocking by Day 2. The 2010 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with very light staining of the tears. No signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing, with heady notes of Morello cherry, blackberry, black plum, bergamot, tomato leaf, red flowers, coffee, dried green herbs, and soft baking spices. On the palate the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Alcohol is high but in balance. Certainly a Brunello of fine character. Distinctive and yet totally true to its sense of place. There’s a near palpable density. Modern but sexy. Drink now with patience and through 2035+.

Way to young but I couldn't resist. Wish I had decanted it at noon but a vigorous splash decant helped a good bit. Toothsome!
