Opened tight and funky-- like the bass in the Cameo hit "Word Up". After 40 min, it's mellowed and relaxed akin to "Always and Forever", or something else from Heatwave. Cinnamon, white pepper, mild anise on the nose, carrying forward to the palate. It's still tart, but probably best enjoyed now. Nice round mouthfeel, medium plus alcohol, very supple tannins. I've had this before, but this is perhaps the best thus far. Love it!!! 1 more bottle.
Ps there is even a milk chocolate note on the very back that resembles a Brunello of comparable age. I'm adding the +

Magenta in the glass. Grape and sweet berry perfume with dried herbs. Grape candy and granite palate. Juicy acid and dusty, powdery tannins. Would score higher were it not for some bitterness on the finish.

I perfekt drickfas. Fullpumpad med mörka bär, färska örter, peppar, mynta, järn och krossade blyertspennor. Tydliga, men sammetslena tanniner, massa syra och lååång eftersmak.

I know this one from Japanese manga Drops of God, finally got a chance to try it. 70% Carignan, 30% Grenache from old vines. Amazingly dark ruby color. Rich and concentrated on the nose. Blueberry, blackberry, plum, mint, black pepper, very earthy nose. Full bodied, medium acidity, I have to say this is some darn concentrated and focused juice. Very fruit driven, like an explosion of fruits, dried fruits also show up. There's subtle heat and sweetness on the finish but doesn't conceal the fact this is a great wine. Wow just Wow 😄 15% alc. 2011 vintage

Nice nose of Dark chocolate cherry, spice, mint , a little bit of funk/smoke. With about 30 minutes of air this fleshed out nicely showing dark berry, Corinthian leather, and a soft tannic backbone. Nice and clean on the palate. Good juice.

Lots of spice like clove, cinnamon and even paprika. Also a smoky wine. Big bold flavors. A touch less oak and a touch less astringent alcohol and I'd give it another point. Great wine
