Dark ruby in color with medium intensity.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Showing red and black fruits with wood, tobacco and chocolate notes.

Simple and easy drinking. Good by itself or with food. A nice party wine.

Might be a little better in a year.

I've had a few vintages of this wine and really enjoyed the 2016 vintage.

An interesting blend of Sangiovese, Malbec, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon.

14.8% alcohol by volume.

The 2012 Siena is a blend of Sangiovese, Malbec, Petite Sirah, Cab Sauv. Deep Ruby with aromas of red and black fruits and spicy notes. The palate shows ripe berries and cherries, very jammy flavor. The wine is aged in new Hungarian puncheons (20%) and older French oak barrels (80%) for 12 months in wine caves prior to bottling. Medium bodied, fine tannins, medium finish, drink now, no further aging benefit.

25th Anniversary of their Sangiovese blend. I needed pliers to open the screw cap so this better deliver. Dense purple red, highly extracted pigment. Cherry, black currant, tutti frutti and cedar wood notes alternate with a hint of mint in nose initially. Similar flavors in mouth, few tannins at first, rounded mouthfeel, citric and lactic acidity in finish and aftertaste. Needs time to open. Fine grained but highly astringent and woody skin tannins emerge after ten minutes. Tannins mellow, wine drinkable after 30 minutes. Cherry flavors and slightly bitter, chewy, moderately astringent tannins dominate. Worth waiting on this one.

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish/ purple rim.

Fruity nose of blueberries, blackberries, vanilla, licorice, earth, wood, light vegetables, spices, herbs, chocolates, pencil lead and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blueberries, cherries, black currants, vanilla, coffee, mocha, licorice, spices, beef jerky, and peppercorn.

Medium plus in finish with soft tannins and raspberries.

This is a tasty red blend from Sonoma County, California. Well balanced with a great mouthfeel. Showing nice complexity, but lost its tannins by now. Better to have it as a 3 year old.

Very enjoyable by itself, as a sipping wine, or with food. Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up.
