I love Barolo this time of year, and this is a great one. Sometimes they turn out too syrupy, dark and tannic, but this keeps the integrity of Nebbiolo. Enough tannins and acid to make my mouth water, but cherry, tobacco, and grappa notes provide layers of complexity. Not the longest finish, but very warming and satisfying.
