Blackberry jam, black tea, & violets. Smooth, with very light tannins. Starts off well enough, just falls off & loses direction on the mid palate & finish. It required lots of air to get it to this point. Unfortunately it's $50, because Napa. If jammy & light is your thing, you'll love it. Just don't expect more then that.

Deep purple color. Raspberry, liquorice, muscat, black cherry and currant. Blueberry. M acid. M+ body and tannin.

Tried this about a year ago and wanted to see how it developed. A classic Bordeaux style blend, (older vintages omitted Petit Verdot). Deep purple with Ruby edges, aromas of red and dark fruit with cedar and spice. On the palate ripe blackberries, blueberries and red fruit, with sweet and savory oak notes. Drinking well for a 2013, still needs decanting. Tannins were smooth and firm, with minerality on the long finish. Faust wines do not disappoint, even when young.

Pouring a glass I noticed a deep purple wine with ruby edges and aromas of red and dark fruit with cedar spice notes. The palate showed ripe blackberries, blueberries and sweet red berry fruit, with sweet and savory oak notes. Very approachable for a 2013, but it needs 30 minutes to open up. On the finish tannins were smooth and firm, showing some minerality on the long finish. Faust wines do not disappoint, even when young.
