Ideal weeknight food-friendly Italian wine. Earthy nose, great acid, notes of blackberries, cherry pits, leather, medium tannins. Great with a wide spectrum of cuisine but lovely with anything tomato.

Good choice by waiter that worked with both roast lamb and seafood paella

Deep red with a bit of orange. An oaky violet and mineral nose lead to a palate of dried berries and plum with herbal tones reminiscent of anise and rosemary. A dose of acidity keeps it fresh. This should improve nicely in years to come.
